     The CD-ROM is a popupar and effective instructional tool. The contents of some CD- ROM are bout history. We may consider using this new technology to teach history. This article introduces the development of CD-ROM for teaching history in the U.S.A. Tis historian used computerized materials later than teachers in other social sciences, and the developmental speed has been slow, Recently, CD-ROM technology has improved the quality of software about history assisted instruction. Therefore, using new technology to teach history is becoming more important. This article attempts to provide some suggestions to history trachers in Taiwan with using technology in history classroom.
