This is an analytical study. Its main purpose is to distil and generalize some practice guidelines from the related literature for early childhood teachers indealing with conflict behaviors in young children. The findings are: 1. There are four major influencing factors which are causes for conflict behaviors in young children, namely: developmental factors, environmental factors, the conflict among children's power of social influence, and the lack of social skills. 2. Three practical guidelines a re suggested: to assist children in developing conflict resolution and social skills, to develop conflict resolution curricula, and to create a developmentally appropriate learning environment and select the right materials. 3. A wholistic approach to conflict resolution is proposed to encompass both the children's and adult's conflicts in early childhood settings.
