The Purpose of this study is to evaluate law-related foreign journals in National Chengchi University, Four variables were included in this study : professors' opinions, the frequency of usage inside the library, the number of citatons in Ph. D. dissertations for each jornal, and included in index-abstracted system. After weighting these four factors, we created a rank-ordered list for 363 law-related foreign journals. It's found that almost 90% of the users used current issues during the survey period. The results from this evaluation offer departments of law a criterion for selecting journals to subscribe or to cancel, as well as suggestions for future journal management. We hope that in our next study we will be able to modify the current model and continue the evaluation of journals subscribed by other schools besides the school of Law. We also hope that our work will benefit other schools so that library budgets can be used in the most efficient way.
