Focusing on the "tremendous brutal thing", the "virtual-illusory space" and the "Country on Wheels", this paper analyzes the space image of limousine in Don De Lillo’s Cosmopolis to argue that De Lillo, by creating the complex character of Eric Packer and seeking to pinpoint the crux of current American society, demonstrates in this novel his humanistic concerns and sense of crisis.
