Since the Eighteenth National Congress of the CPC,Xi Jinping has repeatedly expounded the idea of"a community of common destiny"on important occasions both at home and abroad,and his related arguments have formed an established theory. Xi Jinping’s idea of"a community of common destiny"has rich implications with different value implications related to interest,cooperation and responsibility. Its spatial dimension covers both a community of common destiny for the Chinese nation and a community of common destiny for mankind as a whole; its development dimension reveals the profound contradictions between peaceful development and security threat,the changes in the existing international governance order and in international powers,as well as globalization and anti-globalization. At the level of practical strategy,Xi Jinping puts forward the following value orientations: principles of innovative,coordinated,green,open,and shared development,emphasizes on implementing"The Belt and Road Initiative"and the construction of Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank,aims at the construction of the five-in-one community pattern through integrating consultation,security,development,civilization,and ecology. Xi Jinping’s idea of"a community of common destiny"has distinctive values in contemporary times,because it has enriched the category and implications of the core Marxist theory in the 21 st Century with a broadened research field.
