文華圖專首開我國檔案教育,在檔案管理課程設立之初面臨相關理論成果缺乏的難關,建立檔案教育的計劃也遭到了阻礙。承擔檔案管理課程的毛坤立足于教學實際,利用優越的研究平臺撰寫了《檔案經營法》講義。該講義不但借鑒圖書館學理論,填補理論空白,收到良好的教學成果,還著力于檔案學理論研究,嘗試建立的檔案學體系開拓了相關課程,接受了實踐的檢驗,引領教學發展突破阻礙,促使文華圖專成功設立檔案管理科。

Boone Library School was the first institution to set up archives courses which encountered barriers at the beginning because of the lack of related theoretical studies,thus the professional training program loses steam.Mr. MAO Kun,a teacher of archives management course,wrote a textbook titled Archives Management based on his teaching practice and the research advances of the School. Using library science for reference,the textbook filled the domestic gap in archives theory and produced fabulous teaching achievements. The book not only focuses on the academic researches, but also attempts to establish the archives science system and offer more related curricula which have been proven through experience,thus promoting the teaching of archives science,breaking through the barriers,and prompting the program of archives management in Boone Library School successfully.
