總結近年來西方新聞界遭遇的信任危機,回顧主流媒體在英國脫歐和美國大選等各種政治事件中的表現,用"媒體建制派"的概念來說明新聞界與全球商業精英、西方主流政黨、受過高等教育的中產階級技術官僚、知識勞工及其主流政治觀念的同構,并從商業媒體發展歷程和政治經濟變革歷史的角度對"媒體建制派"的形成及其遭遇失敗的原因進行了分析討論。
