This paper mainly provides policy recommendations for the path of China-EU cooperation in electrical safety of renewable energy. By comparing renewable energy policies of China and the EU,the authors reach the following conclusions: first of all,the reason for China’s decline in energy intensity is the policy implementation of energy conservation and emission reduction, and it will be a core task for Chinese government to continuously enhance energy efficiency and reduce emissions; secondly,China needs to combine new energy diplomacy with energy conservation, strengthen China-EU new energy cooperation, and grasp opportunities to introduce new energy technologies, equipment and meaningful outcomes so as to reinforce China’s competitiveness in the area of new energy; thirdly,China should establish a coordinating mechanism between strategic objective and new energy policy,in order to better sort out foreign policy of new energy and coordinately push forward the development of strategic objective for new energy diplomacy; fourthly, new mechanisms of China and the EU should be explored to reduce the impact of short-term commodity prices in existing international organizations or newly established multilateral groups by governments, and transparency of energy and metal in production, trade and level of inventory should be increased to help alleviate the short-term shortage of commodity supply and price impact; fifthly,China and the EU share a common interest and also face a common challenge in safeguarding energy security. Cooperation with the EU in energy technology, energy efficiency management, standards, laws and regulations, energy market, supervision and other aspects to promote energy conservation and enhance energy efficiency in China is of realistic significance for control in total energy consumption and reform in energy production and energy use.
