Taking 6 villages around Tengzhou East High-speed Railway Station as the research area and adopting questionnaire and system analysis as research methods, this paper studies the spatial arrangement of the rural courtyard around the high-speed railway station. The results show that the spatial arrangement of rural courtyard in the research area has two patterns: residential pattern, residential and commercial pattern. Before the reform and opening-up policy in 1978,the main arrangement was adopted in this area is the simple, which was principle room plus space. During the period between the implementation of the opening-up policy and the construction of high-speed railway, the principle rooms were extended or rebuilt and stereoscopic exploitation was conducted. Since the construction of the high-speed railway, this area mainly focused on plane extension and wing-room construction. Family income, rural customs, production methods and high-speed railway construction were the main factors of the spatial arrangement and evolution of the rural courtyard. Aiming at the problems of blind construction and unused situation, the paper comes up with the utilization and management suggestions such as construction according to demand, renting management, and increasing green and perfecting policies.
