In the following interview, Jüri Talvet, Chair Professor of World Literature of the University of Tartu(Estonia) and Vice-President of the International Association for Ethical Literary Criticism shares his views on a wide range of issues concerning Comparative Literature scholarship, World Literature canon and the new orientation of Ethical Literary Criticism, which has become internationally visible thanks to the initiative and efforts of Chinese literary and cultural scholars. The second part of the interview is centered on the activity of Jüri Talvet as an internationally well-known Estonian poet, whose work has been translated into many foreign languages.
