在西方女性人類學發展的進程當中,女性主義和人類學主流范式對其面貌的形成均發揮著重要作用。區別于女性主義人類學對女性主義理論的強調,女性人類學是由女性學者完成的人類學研究與民族志撰寫,或以人類學理論與方法完成的女性研究。本文從女性人類學諸理論范式出發,對這一分支在發展中所遭遇的批評和困境進行研究,試厘清其與女性主義及人類學的淵源。經分析可知,女性人類學邊緣化的地位來自女性主義和人類學之間既相容又互斥的復雜關系,具體研究上則表現為非男性、非西方和非女性主義的特點。

Feminism and the mainstream paradigms of anthropology have played important roles in the development of Western female anthropology. Different from feminist anthropology which emphasizes feminist theories, female anthropology are anthropological researches and ethnographic writings completed by female scholars or researches on women with anthropological theories and methods. This article studies criticism and dilemmas encountered in the development of female anthropology,trying to clarify the origin of feminism and anthropology.The marginalization of female anthropology resulted from the complex relationships of mutual compatibility and exclusiveness between feminism and anthropology. There were the non-male,non-western and non-feminist characteristics in the specific researches.
