This article is a summary of Samuel T. Y. SENG & Harris B H SENG’s Academic Thought Seminar,presenting the research trend of SENGs’ academic thought. It summarizes the academic reports and research papersfrom the seminar,and reviews the life stories and academic aspirations of the SENGs and their contributions tolibrary science education and librarianship. The library scholars on both sides of the Taiwan Straits have devotedthemselves to librarianship under the same cultural foundation and historical background. Therefore,the academictheory and library work across the Straits are interlinked.
