With the development of computer, Internet, cloud computing, Internet of Things and big data,quantified self has been incorporated into human life gradually. However,it is still a term rarely known to Chinese academia. Therefore,this paper gives a tentative introduction to the concept,characteristics and tools of quantified self,and then makes an analysis of its current applications as well as the problems and challenges it is facing.
