The subjectivity and originality of an academic system are not only symbols of the maturity and strength of a discipline,but also the embodiment of its characteristics,advantages,and self-confidence. To construct a Chinese academic system for contemporary Marxist philosophy with characteristics of subjectivity and originality,we should take "practice"as its core category and explanatory principle,and take "changing the world"as its "living soul. "We are committed to deriving a new theory of the academy and outlining new practices of regularity from the major practical problems with ideas; doing so with a vision and responsibility that does not forget what comes before and that absorbs that which is foreign and future-oriented,so that we can illuminate the reality of contemporary China and the contemporary world,and lead changes in the form of human civilization,shaping a new spirit of the age with philosophical ideas,propositions,meanings,and intellectual capacities.
