宋代是圖經向方志轉變的過渡期,這種轉變鮮明地體現在經"圖"的變化上,即圖數量的減少和圖類型的變化。究其原因,中央對地方控制力的減弱與地方官員、士紳勢力的上升是這種文化表象的社會政治背景,而地方士人參與到地方志書的修撰乃是轉變的催化劑。農田水利、書院等圖表達了地方官員治理地方的需求,而風景、先賢等圖則反映了地方士紳弘揚地方文化的愿望。

The Song Dynasty was the transition period during which tujing changed into local chronicles. The transition was clearly reflected on the change of pictures: quantity of pictures reduced and types changed. The reasons are as follow: in Song Dynasty,central government’s control force weakened while local officials and gentry rose,which was the social and political background of this phenomenon,and local scholars’ participation to compilation of local chronicles intensified it. Maps of water conservancy and college expressed magistrates’ need of governance,and the pictures of scenery and sages reflected squires’ wish to promote local culture.
