In the modernization and internationalization of Chinese society,constructing a model of political trust that conforms to the current social form still needs a consideration of Confucianism. From the perspective of political communication,we reinterpret the historical structure of political trust and find that the construction of political trust in the Analects is a three-way communication process among Confucianism,construction path and construction concept. From top to bottom,political value and political system set an idealized political cognition framework,then through the political intermediary organization based on monarch and minister,which has functions of social connection,information diffusion and adjustment, the public’s enlightenment by moral and emotional education is promoted. From bottom up, people who identify and internalize political information, extend interpersonal emotions into political emotions by emotional extrapolation,shape the sense of identity with the entire political system,and establish political trust. The deeper structure behind political trust construction in the Analects is communication thinking of Confucianism,which follows three principles and runs through them all. Firstly,it emphasizes that the construction of political trust is a process of interaction and communication,which is instructed by the rational mind. Secondly,it uses moral education and emotional education to promote political socialization. Thirdly,it stresses the role of practical action over empty talk.
