Ethnic affairs governance is an important part of multi-national governance. Since the 18 th National Congress of CPC,the Party Central Committee with Xi Jinping as the core,have made an in-depth analysis of the new situation,new problems and new challenges,scientific studies and judgment of the characteristics of ethnic work in the new stage,and profound answers for a series of important theoretical and practical problems in promoting the course of national unity and progress with Chinese characteristics in the new situation on the basis of thorough investigations and studies and by applying Marxist stance viewpoints and methods. It points out the correct direction,builds consensus,and deepens the understanding of important theoretical and practical problems concerning multiethnic situation,ethnic relation as well as the relation between ethnic groups and the state. It enriches and develops Marxist ethnic theory and policy practice and starts a new voyage of the course of national unity and progress with Chinese characteristics.
