在人類學研究領域,學者認為民間口頭藝術的呈現屬于表演范疇,是一種特殊的藝術交流過程。民間的口頭藝術固然是一種表演行為,但同時它在呈現過程中也存在翻譯行為,這既有本民族的語內翻譯,也有跨民族的語際翻譯。因此,在少數民族口頭文學研究中,可以將表演探析與翻譯研究相互關照,相互闡發。為此,可以將少數民族口頭文學的翻譯研究納入表演研究范圍。在此基礎上,本文認為少數民族口頭藝術表現過程中的對外翻譯行為屬于跨文化的民族志實踐,翻譯者本身必須了解民族志的調查方式并具備跨文化意識。

It is believed that oral folk literature,a special art exchange and communication,falls into the performance studies. Despite a performing behavior, its performing is also a process of translation, which involves both intralingual translation and interlingual translation. Thus,a new way into studies on minority oral literature can be realized through the reciprocal interpretation and complement between translation studies and performance studies. For this purpose,translation studies of minority oral literature can be included in performance studies. On this basis,the paper argues that translation activities in the performance of minority oral literature is a kind of ethnographical practice,which requires translators to raise an awareness of ethnography and intercultural communication in their translating practice.
