文化生態問題是當代藏族作家關注的焦點。藏族作家以不同的方式,從不同的角度對之進行抒寫。扎西達娃從簡單批判藏族舊有風俗,走向深層次領悟和思考藏族文化的根脈及其當代傳承之道;次仁羅布以新的敘事方式呈現藏族文化的精髓內涵,關注藏族化的當代境遇;尼瑪潘多原生態地呈現西藏山村在現代化進程中的改變,在社會轉型的宏闊主題下生動展現了文化變遷過程中個體內心的復雜過程。藏族作家文化生態敘事研究揭示出當前生態批評的模式化、簡單化、泛文化傾向等局限。

Cultural ecology is a primary concern of contemporary Tibetan writers who have been approaching the issue from various perspectives and in different ways. Tashi Dawa started with criticizing the outdated Tibetan customs and then moved into a deeper understanding and reflection on Tibetan culture and its inheritance in the current society. Tsering Norbu presented the essence of Tibetan culture with new narratives and showed a lot of concern for the plight it has been trapped in. Nyima Phentok attempted to give an authentic and vivid depiction of the changes the villages in Tibet have undergone,as well as the complicated feelings of individuals involved in the cultural transformation. A study on narratives of cultural ecology of contemporary Tibetan writers reveals some problems existing in current ecological literary criticism, such as the tendency towards oversimplification and patterning in addition to an exclusive cultural perspective.
