Based on a study of the characteristics of the folk culture,agricultural economy,abundant human tourist resource, unique mountain area natural resources, policy advantages, geographical limitations and prospects of economic development of Tujia and Miao ethnic minority in Southeast Chongqing and their mountain area natural resources,the paper discusses the feasibility of economic development in these areas,and presents a green path of combining the protection of national traditional culture with promoting economic development, which not only guides the economic and culture development of the minority areas, but is also of reference meaning to the economic and culture development in other minority areas in China
