歷來，日語的擬聲．擬態語一向被視為修飾動詞的副詞，只是，它亦可與其它語詞相結合，而另組成複合語，但是有關此現象的探討目前並不多見。因此，本論文將針對此類語詞與其它語詞相結合時的現象，特別是另組成複合名詞時，其字意上的特殊性、以及每一個組合成的複合名詞彼此之間有何相關性等做更深入地探討。因而獲得如下結論。 其一是若從字意上探討組合成的複合名詞本身的話，那麼可以知道的是，所成形的複合名詞中，以表示事物的靜態屬性之名詞為數最多。也正因如此，與象聲詞相結合的名詞之中，以表現「人或人身體的某部份」的名詞、以及表現「具體物本身」的名詞較多。 另外，日語的擬聲．擬態語本身字意中所蘊含的評價性對於被另組合而成的複合名詞也帶來某種程度的影響。其中，又以表現人的「動作樣態」與「個性、特質」的複合名詞最明顯，因該複合名詞之大部份的擬聲．擬態語，其字意中蘊含的負評價為數頗多。

The onomatopoeia is usually used as an adverb to modify a verb. Although it is also used as a part of compound nouns, there are very few related researches can be found in this area.Hence, this paper is intended to look into the semantic description of the compound, especially when onomatopoeia is part of the compound nouns, so as to have a further insight of onomatopoeia. The major analysis will be focused on the phrase meaning of compound noun from onomatopoeia. If we investigate the meaning of the nouns combined with onomatopoeia, we can find most of them are presenting statical attribute of things. And majority of those nouns with statical attribute, which refer to human or the part of human body as well as an object, may be included in this group. Furthermore, the semantics of onomatopoeia has a nature of evaluation to the status. This nature affects the image of the compound noun it bears, too. Particularly the onomatopoeia expressing action state of human or the movement change of things has negative evaluation when it combines with nouns.
