The new regulations differ from the old regulations with regards to the analysis of the model of upper section attacks, attacking rate, scoring rate, and prohibited acts of sportsmanship. This study is suitable for the sportsman participating in the National Zhong Zhang cup Taekwondo Championship, 2002. Data for the study includes conventional computer scoring data, competition records, as well as digital video. For the upper section attack, both men's and women's Fin weight groups tested the highest rate of attacking and scoring within 8 different divisions. owever, the lowest rate of both came from the heavy weight category. During competition, both men and women prefer performing the back leg axe kick to the other ten upper attacks. Yet, the front leg axe kick gave them the highest scoring rate. Men seldom perform the double roundhouse kick. Furthermore, the skipping roundhouse kick, the double round house kick, the back spinning kick and the switching round house kick gave them the lowest scores of all. Women seldom use the switching roundhouse kick and the back spinning kick, the double roundhouse kick and the switching roundhouse kick gave them the lowest scores. During the tournament, the men's Fin weight group had the highest prohibition rate, whereas the middle and fly weight group had the lowest late. Among the prohibited acts, falling on the floor occurred most frequently and punching the face occurred least often. For women, the bantam weight group had the highest prohibition rate, compared with the light weight group which had the lowest rate. In the women's category, falling on the floor remained the favored prohibited act while pushing was least popular. From the data shown above, this analysis has provided some indications and results for both training and tournament.
