孫元衡(1661?-?，字湘南，桐城人。曾於清初任臺灣府海防同知四年，其詩集《赤嵌集》四卷，即是他在臺四年，將聞見感觸發於吟詠的成果。本文擬分為四部分論述。首先概述孫元衡來臺前經歷，並討論他的二部詩集《片石園詩》與《赤嵌集》的版本與流通狀況;第二節論述來臺前，孫元衡詩情與宦情分離的詩歌寫作;第三節由《赤嵌集》的作品中，探討孫元衡來臺前期對臺灣的疑懼，到逐漸安於臺灣生活的心境轉折，最後採擷出孫元衡安於臺灣生活後，對臺灣風物形諸吟詠的詩篇，並指出孫氏此類作品的用意與詩心詩情。

Sun Yuanheng孫元衡(1661?-?), also known as xiannan湘南, was born in tongcheng桐城and served as an officer in charge of national defense for Taiwan during the early years of the Qing Dynasty. His four volumes of poetry, known as the Chi Kan Collections赤崁集, is the product of his experiences during this four-year period. This study is divided into four sections: (1) An introduction to his experiences before coming to Taiwan and a discussion of the versions and popularization of this poetry, i.e. Pian Shi Yuan Poetry片石園詩and the Chi Kan Collections; (2) Sun’s poetic creation between his private and public lives;(3) His state of mind before coming to Taiwan, such as his fear, and, after settling down, the comfort of his life in Taiwan, all recorded in his Chi Kan Collections; and (4) the poetry praising Taiwan and his love for the island.
