長久以來，「意義」一直是為人所爭議的話題，該如何適當地詮釋一個文本成為學者關注的焦點。本文藉由詮釋學歷史的概略介紹試圖指出並了解，不同時期對「詮釋」二字的看法，藉由這些論述的要點來重新思考詮釋、文本與意義的關聯性問題，並提出詮釋限度與適當詮釋的相關問題。本文並提出現象學式的詮釋策略作為較為合理的詮釋方法。藉由現象學式的詮釋方法，說明詮釋者、文本與意義之間的互動關係，並再次強調詮釋過程中情境脈絡的重要性。
Interpreting a text appropriately has become an important issue in studying the concept of meaning. Since there are a variety of points of view toward this question, this paper attempts to re-examine dialectic relationship between the text, interpretation, and meaning by discussing the historical development of Hermeneutics. The paper also proposes questions regarding limitation of interpretation and appropriate interpretation. By suggesting Phenomenological Hermeneutic strategy as a better methodology of interpretation, the paper concentrates on illustrating interactive relationships between the interpreter, text, and meaning; ultimately stating the importance of context in the procedure of interpretation.
