This paper explores the creation form of Taiwanese action artist Tang Huang-Chen’s works, cov-ering 10 works in Go Travelling from 1999 to 2014 and the her performance art Ulysses Machine - Tang Huang-Chen’s “I Go Travelling”--15 years later created based on her works. First, it il-lustrates the connotation of “repetition” and “present” in her works, analyzes the multiple mean-ings of “impossibility in communication” and “allegory” in “I Go Travelling” series, and then explains the elements in the theatre of the performance Ulysses Machine from the three aspects of “body and space”, “sound and language”, and “time and memory”. As one of artistic types, actions art aims to bound art and life effectively and thus change the life through the remolding of consciousness. To realize ideological remolding actions art and thus influence our life style, action art may take the forms of occurring in real life directly and stepping in our life personally, which inverts the highly idiosyncratic events, actions and manners into the awareness for crea-tion to serve as the necessary media of artists’ thoughts. With action art as creation approach, Tang Huang-Chen questions and reflects the eternal topic of human beings’ environment of ex-istence, who also takes “communication” and “travelling” as her themes to criticize people’s al-ienation in life in the hi-tech society, to deduce the various types and meanings of life as a journey.
