Nowadays, currency is one of the most important medium of exchange. A state put its emphasis on considering not only economic value but illustration. EUR is the most widely used currency in the world, its illustration of the banknotes is based on the different period Europe architectural styles. Its design is unlike others that I have met. Euro banknotes use a lot of varied styles such as Hellenism, Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, Rococo, Art Nouveau and Modernism. This study takes textual analysis and I will investigate the seven kinds of the Euro banknotes. Firstly, organizing European history and architectural style elements. Next, finding the architectural elements which are the illustration of banknotes used. Last, researching society and thought at that time. Afterwards, I realize that European architectures relate to the history. The study shows that some of the earlier architectures closely with religion; therefore, temples and churches are principle architectures. Humanism is believed in middle ages of Europe; hence, the architectural style tends to Rationalism Architecture. In the case of the architectural style in the later period, governors or architects according to their mind and ideas design. Through this study, citizens not only can deeply grasp the illustration of Euro banknotes but the history of the Europe architectural styles.
