The purpose of this research adopts the historic and countryside ways to survey. It systematically puts the existing acrobats and opera of Taiwanese folk arts in order, and traces their sources, the styles of their performances. It also studies the ways of how to protect and develop in the current condition. As a result, theych39rll be applied as the references and mirrors for the governments, schools and people when developing the Chinese traditional folk arts. The Chinese traditional folk arts have vavious categories. The sphere of this study is limited to the current ones which are still popular in the society. The items which are worth developing and protecting contain: Acrobats-Lion Dances, Dragon Dances, Stilt Walkers, Drum-jumping Team, Bull-Fight Team, Martial Arts, Folk Acrobatics, Rope-Skipping, Kicking a Coin with Feather, and Chinese "Aeolian" Yo-Yo etc. Opera-Cart arid Drun Team, Tea-leaf Picking opera, and Buffalo arid plow Team.
