　　　　　本文主要是利用家庭清潔支出需求與環境品質的關係，並考慮多項環境品質間的替代或互補關係，建立完整的家庭清潔支出需求體系，以各種不同福利衡量指標來評估多項環境品質改變之福利變動。本文選擇了空氣品質、飲用水質及垃圾處理等三項環境品質變數，探討其改善對家計單位效益之影響。並由82年行政院主計處之家庭收支調查抽取3271個家計調查戶為實證對象。實證結果顯示，在各種環境品質皆改善20％的情況下，以馬夏爾消費者剩餘衡量福利的變動，有低估家計單位環境品質改善之效益的情形。此外，在各種環境品質變動順序下，以依序估估方法及一次評估方法所計算出來的各種福利衡量結果與理論預期的一致。
　　　　　The relationship between demand for household cleanliness expenditure and environmental quality is constructed, thus developing complete systems of household demand for cleanliness. Alternative measures of welfare indices are employed to compare the benefit of a multidimensional environmental quality improvement with improvement of air quality, drinking water quality, and garbage treatment as the environmental qualities chosen for empirical analysis. Under 20% of these three environmental qualities' improvement, the results have indicated that benefit is under-valued with the welfare measure of the Marshallian consumer surplus. In addition, under various sequences of environmental quality changes, the results of welfare measures from the sequential and holistic evaluation are consistent with theoretical expectation.
