　　　　　本文主要闡述創傷後壓力症候群(簡稱PTSD)之症狀組群及精神生物學之基礎,PTSD 並不如傳統經驗般之少見，且80%之病患同時罹患其他精神疾病，病人及臨床工作人員常忽略，以致錯失早期治療的好時機，臨床上藥物治療合併心理治療效果最佳。臺灣面臨921大地震此一災難，由初期資料顯示其嚴重度不亞於世界各國已知之相關報告，51%有嚴重之精神障礙，超過50%出現強烈的PTSD症狀，10.9%出現自殺意念。故全國精神醫療界應藉此發展並迅速的救援身心受創之災民，以免產生過多慢性化的PTSD病患。
