長期以來,媒介研究中存在著宏觀的結構研究和微觀的組織研究兩種路徑的分裂。作為一種中層理論,布爾迪厄的場域理論為連接這兩者提供了有效溝通的橋梁,近年來受到越來越多的媒介研究學者的重視,并形成了一種新的媒介場域研究范式。文章從學術史的角度考察了場域理論在西方媒介研究中的興起與發展,討論了這一新的研究范式的可能性與局限性,以及在發展過程中不斷和其他研究范式進行對話與融匯的過程,以此展現場域理論在媒介研究中的活力和發展前景。

In the study of media,for a long time,there existed a separation between the macro-‘societa ’level models and micro-‘organizational’approaches. As a mezzo-level theory,Bourdieu’s field theory provides a possibility to bridge the two approaches effectively. More and more media scholars pay attention to it in recent years and a new paradigm of media field has come into being. In this essay,the author reviews the emergence and development of field theory in western media studies and discusses its possibilities and limitations. The author also discusses the dialogue and integration of this paradigm with other paradigms of media studies. This paper attempts to show the vitality and prospects of the media field approach.
