前人多在記憶層面探討不相關言語效應(the Irrelevant Speech Effect,ISE),而本文選擇在意識覺察(conscious awareness)階段觀察這一現象。所有實驗均采用視覺掩蔽及聽覺輸入不相關聲音的視聽交互方式。實驗1在安靜、純音及不相關言語3種聽覺背景下讓被試對簡單圖片做視覺覺察判斷,結果發現不相關言語干擾了視覺覺察,而純音則未產生干擾。實驗2在相同的3種聽覺背景下要求被試對復雜圖片做視覺覺察判斷,結果同實驗1。實驗3采用事件相關電位技術,在同樣的3種聽覺背景下觀察被試對簡單圖片做視覺覺察判斷時的腦電變化,結果發現不相關言語干擾了視覺覺察負波的形成,驗證了行為學研究的結果。本文結果表明不相干言語在視覺意識覺察階段就對被試的行為產生了干擾。
