對比"五普"和"六普"中有關族際婚姻的數據，發現10年之間，55個少數民族族際婚姻的人口數上升了3.74%，但是平均每個民族的通婚民族個數下降了3%。多數少數民族通婚中的族際婚姻性別比有所上升，同時，族際通婚的少數民族女性戶主率也都有所提升。造成以上現象的主要原因包括少數民族人口狀況自身變動、人口流動加劇、教育水平提高以及城鎮化水平提高等因素。

By comparing the data of the fifth census and sixth census related to inter- ethnic marriage,it is found that the population of inter- ethnic minority among the 55 minorities rises by 3. 74% in 10 years,but the number of the average national ethnic intermarriage falls by 3%. The sex ratio of inter- ethnic minority marriage increases slightly，at the same time,the ratio of households headed by women among the intermarriage minorities increases lightly as well. The main reasons leading to the above phenomenon include change of minority demography,increased population mobility,improvement of the educational level and that of urbanization.
