This study employed the concept of fuzzy statistics to explore school factors and family factors that affect students' academic achievement, and to assess parental decision-making methods for school selection at different levels of school selection considerations.
First, in terms of school factors, by exploring the four school selection considerations that parents will consider when choosing a school: teacher quality, administrative management, environmental facilities, and curriculum learning, and using of single-level fuzzy scores and the weight of school selection considerations to analyze and develop the fuzzy and multiple strategies of parental school selection. Secondly, in terms of family factors, in order to examine the relationship between parental education investment and students' academic achievements, use fuzzy statistical methods to detect trend cycles and find the changing cycles after interference. The research object takes the parents of two schools as examples, as an empirical analysis of parental school selection strategy, education investment and academic achievement. Finally, based on the research results, a more appropriate analysis and explanation is put forward on the issues of parental school selection, education investment and academic achievement.
