全球化的發展過程,讓全世界各地的已開發中國家、開發中國家以及低度
開發國家,都享受到經濟繁榮與成長所帶來的好處。但是全球化的發展之後,
隨之而來的工業化、二氧化碳排放問題,衍生造成的溫室效應、全球暖化、氣
候變遷現象,也成為全世界必須共同面對的當務之急。
本研究透過實證方式,研究涵蓋面遍及四大洲,三種不同開發程度的九個
代表性國家。採用 Sim and Zhou (2015)的雙分量迴歸模型,來重新再審視全球
化與碳排放的影響,但為了避免忽略重要變數的偏差,本研究加入了 GDP 當控
制變量。藉由採用非線性的 Quantile on Quantile 迴歸模型,以期能得到更
好的模型預測,並且加強解釋能力。實證結果顯示,在不同分位數的全球化指
數,與不同分位數之二氧化碳排放量下,全球化指數對二氧化碳排放的影響存
在著很大的差異。
The development process of globalization allows developed,
developing and underdeveloped countries around the world to enjoy the
benefits of economic prosperity and growth. However, after the
development of globalization, the subsequent industrialization, carbon
dioxide emissions, and the resulting greenhouse effect, global warming,
and climate change have also become urgent tasks that the world must face
together.
This study uses an empirical approach to cover nine representative
countries at three different levels of development across four continents.
The dual-component regression model of Sim and Zhou (2015) is used to
re-examine the impact of globalization and carbon emissions, but in order
to avoid ignoring the bias of important variables, this study adds GDP as a
control variable.
By adopting a nonlinear Quantile on Quantile regression model, it is
expected to obtain better model predictions and strengthen the explanatory
power.
The empirical results show that the globalization index of different
quantiles and the carbon dioxide emissions of different quantiles have great
differences in the impact of the globalization index on carbon dioxide
emissions.
