隨著媒體電子化與網路化雙重趨勢的引領下，期刊電子化已成為事實，
無論走出版者、圖書館界，還是終端使用者都身置其中。本文首從電子期刊的辭
彙為基礎，探討電子期刊的定義與範圍，進而探求電子期刊的起源、類型與取用
途徑。次而，在圖書館因應電子期刊的出現下，探究圖書館採購作業流程、專業
人員職稱與業務項目、組織部門等方面的調整，以及圖書館對電子期刊的接受與
反應程度。最後，作者針對電子期刊應用等相關議題進行分析、研究，同時建議
從整個學術交流模式(scholarly communication model)的觀點重新研析電子期刊與
圖書館、出版者及使用者的互動與定位。

It is a trend and fact thatjournals are electronic and networked, also
itbecomes a key issue that how to utilize elec-tronic journal among libraries,
publishers andusers. This paper, first, take a detailed study onthe diverse terms about
the definition of elec-tronic journals. After that, scope, origin, de-velopment, types
and access methods are to beexamined. With the different situation from
thepaper-based journal, how a libraryre-engineering existed acquisition
procedure,staff, task, organization will also be discussed.Then, this paper will take a
look at the currentstrategies about how libraries response to the electronic journal's
current market. Finally,author suggests that scholarly communicationmodel view on
electronic journals should betaken by further researches to get better understanding
about the response and acceptancefrom libraries, publishers and users aspects.
