國際兒童圖書館是日本第一所國立兒圖書專門圖書館，成立於2000年1月1日，乃是國立國會圖書館的分館，以提供兒童文學研究、兒童圖書閱覽服務及增進不同文化的了解為主要任務。本文介紹該館的建築物、基本任務、館藏資源、設備、服務項目、資訊系統、兒童服務及未來發展。

　　　　　The International Library of Children's Literature was founded on January 1, 2000 as a branch of the National Diet Library. Its basic roles are supporting research and study on children's literature, providing children's reading services and contributing to mutual understanding among cultures. This article introduces the basic roles, collection, information resources, digital library, information systems, facilities for children and further improvement in the future of the Library.
