電子商務對各產業發展均有深遠的影響,尤其對銀行更是重大,銀行雖是服務業運用高科技的先驅者,但有關銀行電子商務的研究,偏向於個別的商務應用課題,在實務應用方面多以仿傚同業作為其發展方向或是導入個別的服務系統,欠缺資訊化全盤性考量及運用,無法充分發揮資訊技術之策略潛能,本研究運用個案研究方法,以一家商業銀行為個案,透過深入訪談、觀察網站及文獻資料收集,以價值體系做為分析架構,從銀行及其相關企業與顧客的整體網路中進行鏈結點分析,尋找資訊技術應用的策略性機會,裨益規劃電子商務之策略應用,本研究的主要結果是從銀行內部網路、供應鏈及顧客關係管理三方面,提供電子商務規劃之建議,同時在規劃過程中電子商務團隊及系統彈性需求亦有討論。
Electronic commerce (EC), which heavily relies on internet technology, is widely adopted by many industries, especially by banking. Most e-banking research emphasized on technological issues or functional application systems. The characteristics of internet include connectivity, interactivity, and 24 hour service, which is powerful for connecting banks and their strategic partners. Existing research seems to ignore the strategic potential of EC technology. To have a holistic perspective, it is important for banks to consider the strategic value of EC application on the value systems basis. Using case study methodology four major service activities from a commercial bank are investigated from the viewpoint of information requirement analysis. Data are collected from multiple sources, including interview, web site, documentation and observations. Based on value systems, the linkages are analyzed and associated strategic values for EC technology are derived. The management implications for e-banking strategic planning are discussed and practical suggestions concerning intranet, supply chain management, and customer relationship management are also provided.
