“Central Plains Phonology” was composed by Zhou de quin in tai ding jia zi (1324A.D.) in the Yuan dynasty. It contains two major parts. The fore-body is about the rhyming of composing Bei qu. There are totally 19 rhymes. The rhymes aobut form deng zhueng yun and end up with lain xiam yun. Every rhyme contains four sections—in ping, iang ping, shang shen, qu sheng and ri shen is put into the three tones-ping, shang and sheng. The meta-body is “Zheng yu zou ci qi li” disouesing about phone discrimination, method of using characters, kueng dian, qu pai, and etc. “central Plains Phonology” reduces rhymes to 19 ones and changes the layout of rhyme books in qie yun system. Later, it becomes a rhyme canon of composing xi qu. No matter in the aspect of shen yun or in the aspect of xj qu, the look rewarded high value. Due to this the study of the edition of “Central Plains Phonology” is quite important. Through the study of the edition of “Central Plains Phonology”, we could get the original appearance of “Central Plains Phonology”, we could get now in my article. I hope that my studying result could become the foundation of the coming research.
