The subjects of study were 1743 students (males, N=391 ; Females, N=1352) of Hsing-Wu college of commerce, sued the self-designed inventories to investigate students’ motivation of elective physical education courses. The inventory of elective PE courses included five subscales: there were the factors of students’ subjective idea, teachers of physical education, sport groups, sport events and facility and equipment. Findings indicated: (1) The factor of physical education teachers was the most important, the following were individually the factors of students’ subjective idea, sport groups, facility and equipment and sport events in the motivation of elective PE courses. (2) Students of different grades, sexes, sport groups, participation frequency of sport, and the scores of physical education had significant difference in the motivation of elective PE courses.
