This research is conducted to comprehend the enthusiasm of Chang Jung University (CJCU) staffs for performing leisure and sport activities so as to be used as the reference for development program of such performance at the school. Taking CJCU staffs in the school year of 2004-2005 as our research subjects by filling out the same questionnaire, we have obtained 124 valid surveys, which are analyzed by methods of frequency distribution, percentage, and etc. The outcome of this research is defined as follows. 1.Most staffs (79%) of this research enjoy leisure and sport activities. 2.The location does not differ too much in parameter from expectation. Both schools and suburbs are mainly used for performance. 3.The companion does not differ too much in parameter from expectation. Family members, friends, and co-workers are mostly preferred to perform such activities with. 4.First three leisure and sport activities of parameter ranked in sequence are Badminton, Table Tennis, and Tennis while expectation are Swimming, Badminton, and Table Tennis, which are all individual and two-man sports. 5.Nighttime is mostly preferred for both parameter and expectation. 6.One hour or less of preference time on weekdays or weekends is major, and there is not much difference between parameter and expectation. 7.Average cost per month is not the highest consuming item. 8.The purpose of such performance is for body building and physical force enhancement as well as stress release. 9.First three primary factors to discourage such performance are lack of companion, dissatisfaction with location facilities, and lack of guidance. 10. Approximately 52% of the staffs consider using CJCU facilities free of charge. 11. Further to acceptance of present environment, equipment, and setting of the facilities, more than half of them still have not met the satisfaction requirement level. Obviously, there is still a lot of room for improvements in overall setting and establishment of facilities and equipment.
