In developing a philosophy to help overcome existential anxiety and facilitate personal accomplishment, one can consider modern literary works, especially those of Nobelists, and famous or award-winnig films. In particular, films based on literary works can stimulate the viewer into reflecting more deeply about life. This article shows how this process can occur. This essay is mainly divided into two parts. The first part analyzes four main kinds of modern-life anxieties shown in films and literatures, such as solitude, loneliness, disgrace and death. The second part observers literary authors and artists with the documentary films, which offers us a look into true emotions.
