兩岸關係的穩定和發展，不僅是兩岸人民的共同希望，也是環繞在兩岸周邊諸國的希望。不可否認，這些年來，兩岸關係處得相當不好，令人擔憂。然而，目前的整個世界形勢是經濟走向高速發展，國與國之間的矛盾和衝突，講求運用和平和諧的方式化解。本文動機，即在於如何從現狀的兩岸關係，分析兩岸各自所處的環境和面臨的問題，找出兩岸各自的需求和條件，創造有利兩岸走向和諧、和平、互補、互動的新局面。本文的前言，亦即撰寫的動機，其次是研究相關文獻所顯示出來的兩岸關係互動的關鍵性問題。然後，得出若干分析和推論的結果。在結論中，作者引述了經濟學家梭羅的談話：台灣如果想要維持現況，一定要與北京坐下來談。如果不談，就只能夠猜測對方的看法，台灣應該想：「這是我們改變中國的機會」。

The stable situation and continuing development between China and Taiwan are the hope not only for Chinese people but also for surrounding countries. Even though recently the relationship between China and Taiwan do not go well, the conflict and contradiction still should be solved in peach and harmony due to the worldwide trend for economic development. The purpose of this article is based on the current situation to evaluate the environment and challenges China and Taiwan are facing. By finding out the mutual understanding, Taiwan and China can open the new page for the better future. This summary is the writing purpose, and with the key points indicated from related documents and reference, some analyses and results can be concluded. In the conclusion, the author cited the economist, Lester Thurow statements, if Taiwan wants to maintain the current situation, then it should have conversation with Beijing. Otherwise, it only can predict what China thinks. Taiwan should take it as the chance to change the China.
