According to the description of the Han-Dynasty-Tablet from Ju-YenSaisang Fenghuo Pingyue-(E.P.F.16:1-17), Jiaqusai (sai=site) is divided into two defense lines, namely, Jiaqu Hebeisai and Jiaqu Henansai. Hebeisai included, from south to north, Wansue-Bu, Disi-Bu, Dishi-Bu. Dishiqi-Bu, Diershisan-Bu and Pinting-Bu; Henansai included, from south to north. Linmu-Bu, Chengbei-Bu, Tunyuan-Bu and Buqin-Bu. Each Bu (military section) governed six to ten watch towers. So far, it is known that the officials who were stationed at Jiaqusai included two to three Baidanzhi Shill, ten Baidanzhi Houzhang, ten Zuoshizhi Houshi, and more than eighty Zuoshizhi Suizhang. With the help of the Jianbo Jinshi Database of The Institute of History and Philology of Academia Sinica, this essay attempts to classify the names of the stationed officials at the Jiaqusai beacon tire stations and analyze them by the division of history into periods.
