The purpose of this study was to analyze the trends and issues of theses and dissertations for the topic of "physical fitness" in Taiwan. Research subjects, 361 physical fitness theses and dissertations, were collected from Electronic Theses and Dissertation System during 2000 to 2009. Research method conducted in this study was content analysis. The results of this study can provide trends, and development of this field to the scholars and researchers dealing with physical fitness. The findings were as followed: 1. There were 7 dissertations and 354 theses, showing a sign of gradual growth. 2. The most research topic was exercise training intervention, and nest came to physical education course and teaching. 3. The most research participant was students, and next came to patients. 4. The most research provenance came from National Taiwan Normal University, and next came to National University of Physical Education. The most provenance of department was department of physical education and leisure, and next came to department of medical, nurse and health acre. 5. The most research type was descriptive and experimental. It is suggested that the method of meta-analysis should be conducted to analyze the research result, and the source of study subjects should include the journal articles, and so on.
