In the twenty-first century, “reading” is a essential ability for humanity to cultivate. Promoting children's reading has become a trend in recent years. The authorities concerned have actively promoted public libraries, and encouraged the promotion of the reading activities, too. Public libraries not only provide a place for reading, but they can also make up for the deficiencies of school and home literacy environment. The literature that explored its relationship and the use of public libraries are mostly targeted about the children who was more than elementary school children; and the“Bookstart”activities focused on 0-3 years old infants and young children. What can we do for early childhood children in promoting library using? As a kindergarten teacher who views an issue from care and education perspective, how to construct a bridge between the early childhood children and public libraries? Through the article discussed the childhood children’s reading development overview, listed the library-related picture books, and shared how to use picture books into teaching and class visiting activities. Finally, here are some suggestions and specific practices proposed for parents.
