Participation on physical activities has been not only associated the physical, psychological and social benefits, but the reduction of physical and mental disorders. from previous studies, parents play an important role to impact children's learning process and physical development, especially with the involvement in education. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to discuss the relationship between the parents' involvement, the characteristics of children sports participation behaviors as well as Body Mass Index. The children participants in this study were the students of the fifth and sixth grade enrolled in Taipei municipal elementary schools at the second semester in 2009. The survey was conducted in April to June in 2009. Reliability, two-step cluster analysis, discriminant analysis and factor analysis were applied to data-analysis. In the study, it is proved that parental participation in children's education does impact the effect of learning, sport behaviors and Body Mass Index. Accordingly, results of this study would provide referable guidance to related parents and teachers when drawing up physical fitness related activities and courses in the future.
