This paper tries to prove that these three documents, including Yaodian (The Canon of Yao), Gaoyao Mo (The Counsels of Gaoyao), Yugong ( The Tribute of Yu), were completed in the mid-Western Zhou period. There are three points: first, this paper compares these three documents with Lvxing (The Regulation of Lv), which is convinced to be finished in the mid-Western Zhou period; second, this paper analyzes them by comparing their writing styles with those of some inscriptions on bronzes of mid-Western Zhou period; third, it compares them with some poets written in mid-Western Zhou period from The Book of Songs.
