在這追求知識經濟的大時代及日益競爭的產業環境之下，企業為了追求利潤及生存，維持或提升其企業經營績效，夾帶這知識與技術紛紛跨足不同領域；然而知識帶來的技術多角化於許多企業內外在因素、產業環境而有所的影響。本文僅尌近年來的技術多角化與企業績效之間相關聯文獻綜述進行初步探討。本文綜合學者觀點中發現技術多角化具有經濟規模或範疇經濟及增加企業競爭力、提高產業進入門檻；技術多角化與創新績效關係呈現倒U型，當技術多角化程度越高而對其財務績效並沒有單方面，強而有力證據證明有著正面顯著效果，而這是需要有條件的。
