主要依據《澳門憲報》所刊佈的葡語文獻，就晚清澳門華政衙門的組織結構及其人員編制的沿革進行闡述，在相關要點上作出澄清：華政衙門由譯務科和行政司法科兩部分組成；“國家律師”實為葡國檢察官，充當公訴人角色； 1885年改革，將漢文譯務科從華政衙門分離出來，成立單獨的政府部門──譯務署； 1894年，葡國海外省司法改革結束了華政衙門的歷史。

This article describes and clarifies the organisational structure and personnel of the Procuratura dos Negócios Sínicos in the late Qing Dynasty using Portuguese documentation published in the Official Gazette. The Procuratura was divided into divisions of translation and administration and justice, the Agent of the Public Prosecutors Attached to the Procuratura was in fact a Portuguese public prosecutor. The reform in 1885 detach the translation division from the Procuratura to become an independent service. The judiciary reform in 1894 in Portugal put an end to the Procuratura dos Negócios Sínicos.
