What this article argues is that we can improve the teaching of composition in the junior high schools by means of combining the teaching of the essays in the textbooks. Its main idea of this approach is to guide the students to imitate the writing skills of the essays. It must be imitated from how to idntify the topics, establishing the purports, collecting writing materials, choosing the materials, how to paragraph, to rhetorical techniques. With this approach, the students may learn one famous writer's writing skills each time when they imitate one essay for composition. During the three-year study in the junior high schools, about 60 kinds of writing skills can be learned by the students. Thus, the students may handle either examinations or jobs easily in the future. This is actually an effective method of teaching.
